Enjoy a stroll round our parks with us in Love Parks Week 2023

Having done a couple of organised litter picks recently for The Big Help Out and then The Great Big Green Week, we thought we would do something a little bit different this year for Love Parks Week.

It was suggested in our Visitor Survey (2021) that we should do summer walks in the parks as well as our popular Christmas Winter Walk, so we are going to do a couple of Summer Strolls.

There will be a couple of route options to choose from (both with Friends on hand to answer questions) :

  • An energetic one of about 3 miles (1-1½ hours) taking in Wootton Brook Park at the bottom of Hunsbury Hill as well as some of the Country Park ~ basically the ‘4 signs’ route as mapped in our purple brochures (which are available from the Parks Information Centre in The Drovers Return);

  • A gentler stroll around the Country Park (again about an hour) taking in some of the different habitats featured in the Habitat Survey carried out for us by Wildlife Trust in 2018.

Please join us if you can. We’ll meet at The Drovers Return at 11 am on Sunday 30th July and at 6:30 pm on Wednesday 2nd August.

Accompanied dogs and children welcome.

Please check the weather before coming out and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
