Painting Play Equipment
We haven’t forgotten about this. NBC’s contractors, idVerde, have confirmed that as soon as they have the right paint they will agree a date with us to get it done. Hopefully the weather will still be warm and dry.
All are welcome to join us. We will supply the paint and brushes. You will need to wear suitable clothing!
Don’t Forget the Tree Trail
This is a nice gentle walk around and about the Hillfort and its ring of trees. It normally takes 45-60 minutes. Maps and leaflets are available from the Drovers Return café. We will keep this going as long as there is a demand for the leaflets.
Don’t forget to install a QR Code reading app onto your mobile phone.
You can read the Tree Health & Safety Report on which the Tree Trail is based (and all the other surveys and reports from the last year) via the links in ‘Our Lottery Year’.
Monday 15th July ~ Litter Pick ~ we have cancelled this (planned to clear up any litter left behind after Alfie’s Day) because the organisers and public did a fantastic job and cleared up after themselves. Thank you all. Our next planned litter pick is Sun. 4th August.
Our main contribution to Love Parks Week will now be our Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, 21st July (Northampton Borough Council website states that ‘Love Parks Week’ this year starts Sat. 6th July and continues to Sun. 21st July, although this varies in other parts of the country).
Sunday 21st July ~ Scavenger Hunt
A repeat of last year’s popular Hunt. 11am to 4pm on the day, but question sheets and prizes will be available from the Drovers Return café through until the end of August. More details via this link.

September ~ Heritage Open Days
These will be held across England from Friday 13th September to Sunday 22nd September in 2019, and we will be joining in at some point over the ten days. We are currently planning to get BloodAxe Vikings and Armée du Nord (and hopefully others) back to the Hillfort during the weekend of Sat/Sun 14th/15th September. We will let you have confirmation of this, and more details, as soon as we have them.
