Vehicle Entrance to Hunsbury Hill Country Park now gated

The Car Park at Hunsbury Hill Country Park now has a gate installed and is being closed to vehicles at night.

Heritage Open Days 2018, 8th/9th September

Many thanks to all those who filled in Quiz sheets and feedback forms. We appreciate your input. Next year Heritage Open Days will be held from Friday 13th September to Sunday 22nd September 2019 and we will be joining in at some point over the ten days.

Bat Walk and Moth Trapping, 31st August 2018

This was a great success, with many species being recorded. We will try and repeat this exercise in 2019.

The East Midlands in Bloom (EMiB) judges visited the park on 13th July 2018 to meet the Friends and hear about the park and the Iron Age hill fort.

“Brilliant” day in the forest

On a beautiful sunny afternoon in July 2018, the pupils from Hunsbury Park Primary School spent a very enjoyable afternoon finding and recording insect and plant life to be found in the Country Park.
