A couple of weeks ago, with the help of some of the Reception children from Hunsbury Park Primary School, members of West Hunsbury PC and the Friends of West Hunsbury Parks, we saw the official unveiling and naming of our lovely baby dinosaur which was carved by Peter Leadbeater in 2024.
We are very happy to introduce you to …………. OAKLEAH !
The name was chosen by the children from Hunsbury Park Primary School and the carving was generously paid for by West Hunsbury Parish Council – big thanks to both parties.
Oakleah in old English means ‘field of oak trees’- how perfect is that for a dinosaur carved from the old oak tree felled a few years ago on Green Lane !
