MOLA (Museum of Archaeology, London) are planning to carry out a drone survey of the Iron Age Hill Fort and surrounding area of Hunsbury Hill Country Park soon, possibly week commencing Monday 25th April. This is for our 2nd National Lottery Grant, which MOLA are driving, as it is mainly to fund more archaeological investigation of the Hill Fort and the artefacts recovered during quarrying.
If you do see a professional looking drone, possibly like the examples we have pictured, in that vicinity in the next couple of weeks, don’t be alarmed. And please don’t let your dogs or children interfere with it.
