Please dispose of face masks (and ALL litter) responsibly

Single-use face masks have quickly become the most common litter now seen in the Parks. We know that advertising blurb says that “they can simply be thrown away after you’ve worn it. They save the hassle of washing” but PLEASE, we do NOT want to see more photos like the one above.

DO NOTsimply throw it away”. TAKE IT TO A LITTER BIN. OR TAKE IT HOME AND BIN IT THERE.

We know that some responsible park users are individually carrying out litter picks as they walk around the Parks (thank you to all of you), and we are going to hold a mass litter pick in both the Country Park and Ladybridge/Wootton Brook Parks (but no more than 30 people in each) on Tuesday 1st June, but in the meantime please dispose of your face mask responsibly.

Remember ~ FACE MASKS CAN KILL IF THROWN AWAY CARELESSLY !
