Don’t Forget the Tree Trail
This is a nice gentle walk around and about the Hillfort and its ring of trees. It normally takes 45-60 minutes. Maps and leaflets are available from the Drovers Return café. We will keep this going as long as there is a demand for the leaflets.

Don’t forget to install a QR Code reading app onto your mobile phone.

You can read the Tree Health & Safety Report on which the Tree Trail is based (and all the other surveys and reports from the last year) via the links in ‘Our Lottery Year’.

Wednesday 23rd October ~ Painting Play Equipment
We are aiming to help NBC’s contractors, idverde, paint the Ladybridge Park play equipment on 23rd October. Hopefully the weather will be dry. If not, we will re-schedule for 24th Oct. All are welcome to join us. We will supply the paint and brushes. You will need to wear suitable clothing! More details here.

Sunday 27th October ~ Litter Pick : Scheduled, but may or may not go ahead, as everyone has been very good at picking up litter recently. We’ll let you know the week before.

Tuesday 5th November ~ Fireworks
West Hunsbury Parish Council are organising a fireworks display in Ladybridge Park. We have been invited, so will be there to enjoy it. No details on WHPC website or notice boards yet, but hopefully they will let us have more information to share with you nearer the time.

Sunday 24th November ~ General Work Day.
We have thought that rather than a litter pick this month, we’ll do another sort of tidying up, as at this time of year the paths can get covered with leaves. So we are planning to have a Big Leaf Sweep for an hour or so along the paths in Ladybridge Park and Wootton Brook Park. Meet in the Ladybridge car park at 11:00.

Friday 27th December ~Winter Walk
We have now set the date for this repeat of the event that was so popular in 2018. We will start at 2:30, as we did last year, but will confirm that nearer the date.

2020 ~ We are hoping to have more spectacular events, like the BloodAxe Vikings , litter picks, quizzes and another Race Night, as well as some new events that we are working on. More later.

We are also being invited by other local bodies to have a stall at their events. So we hope to see you at the Midlands History Festival being held at Whites Nurseries, Earls Barton, on 13th & 14th June next year, and also Hunsbury Meadows Parish Council’s Party in the Park on Banbury Lane, Hunsbury Meadows, in mid-July 2020.

* Tickets : Pre-booking of tickets for our events in Parsons Meade Community Centre is essential, as numbers are restricted and tickets will not be available for sale on the door. Please book your tickets via the Contact Us button on our website or by phoning 07836 732 151 so that we can arrange for payment and delivery.
