Bat Walk and Moth Survey 2019 TONIGHT ~ Amazingly still forecast as dry !

We are repeating last year’s successful co-operation with NBRC (Northants Bio-Diversity Records Centre) for their WILDside Heritage Lottery Funded project to promote the recording of wild life across Northamptonshire.

Meet at the Friends’ gazebo, which we will put up by the Drovers Return café in the Hunsbury Hill Country Park, for a 6:30 pm start on Wednesday 25th September.

Numbers will be limited to a maximum of 20, so please register your interest as soon as possible by texting BATS  to 07836 732 151.

There will be an introductory bat talk before we actually do the bat walk. The walk should take 45-60 mins, finishing about 7:45 pm.

For those who want to, we’ll then go on to find some moths, finishing about 9 pm.

The weather forecast is (amazingly) still dry with a temperature falling from 18°C to 15° C, so it should be quite pleasant. Please wear suitable clothing and please bring a torch, as we do not have any spare to hand out.
