Painting Play Equipment
We haven’t forgotten about this. NBC’s contractors, idVerde, have confirmed that as soon as they have the right paint they will agree a date with us to get it done. Hopefully the weather will still be warm and dry.
All are welcome to join us. We will supply the paint and brushes. You will need to wear suitable clothing!
Don’t Forget the Tree Trail
This is a nice gentle walk around and about the Hillfort and its ring of trees. It normally takes 45-60 minutes. Maps and leaflets are available from the Drovers Return café. We will keep this going as long as there is a demand for the leaflets.
Don’t forget to install a QR Code reading app onto your mobile phone.
You can read the Tree Health & Safety Report on which the Tree Trail is based (and all the other surveys and reports from the last year) via the links in ‘Our Lottery Year’.
And don’t forget the Scavenger Hunt
This proved to be very popular when we initiated it on Sunday 21st July. The question sheets and prizes will be available from the Drovers Return café through until the end of August. We’ll also leave a bag of pebbles and some pens in the Friends Information Centre at the café for any children who want to paint a pebble after they have completed the Hunt. Please leave the pens in the Information Centre after use, so that others can join in the fun.
We’ve put our photos taken on Sunday in our Gallery.
Saturday 24th August ~ Hedge Trimming Party
We are going to carry out some hedge trimming in the Ladybridge Park / Wootton Brook Park areas, to keep some paths clear which are currently on the way to being blocked, and we could do with some help from those who are able ~ with and without hedge-trimming tools. We’ll meet in the Ladybridge Park car-park at 10:30. Please bring your own protective gear (including gloves) appropriate to any tools you will be using. More info at this link.

The BloodAxe Vikings and Armée du Nord (and hopefully others) will be back in the Hill Fort during the weekend of Sat/Sun 14th/15th September. We will let you have more details as soon as we have them.
