Big thank you to the 7 volunteers who joined the Friends on a very hot and sunny Saturday morning, 24th August, to cut back some of the hedges encroaching on the paths in the Ladybridge and Wootton Brook Parks.
With 14 workers in all, and several powered hedge trimmers (including a portable generator !) as well as hand tools, brooms and giant builders’ bags, we were able to clear more than we anticipated.
Although we were not able to replicate the topiary which we portrayed in the advertising for this work day, we ended up with two large piles of trimmings for idverde to collect.
We have put our photos in our Gallery.
