EVENTS BEING PLANNED

Painting Play Equipment
We are sorry we had to postpone the painting of the Ladybridge Park play equipment which was planned for Monday 13th May. We will let you know as soon as another date is given to us. Hopefully this won’t be too long – and the weather might be warmer (and drier) as well !

All are welcome to join us. We will supply the paint and brushes. You will need to wear suitable clothing!

Don’t Forget the Tree Trail
Following the guided tour of the trail on Saturday, 30th March, our Tree Trail is now going to remain live as long as you want it too. Maps and leaflets are available from the Drovers Return. Don’t forget to install a QR Code reading app onto your mobile phone.

Sunday 9th June ~ Practical Work Day / Litter Pick. Details to follow.

Sunday 7th July ~ Practical Work Day / Litter Pick. Details to follow.

Saturday 13th July ~ Alfie Bear’s Picnic : We understand that Alfie Bear’s Picnic will be held in the Country Park by the play equipment as usual, from 11 a.m. Although we are not involved in the organising of this event, we wholeheartedly support it and recommend it as a good day out with plenty to see and do. And it’s in a good cause as well.

Monday 15th July ~ Litter Pick in the Country Park, 11-12am with refreshments to follow. This will be our main contribution to Love Parks Week, which is being held Sat. 13th July to Fri. 19th July in Northampton this year (don’t believe NBC website. They haven’t updated this bit since 2017!)

Sunday 21st July ~ Scavenger Hunt
A repeat of last year’s popular Hunt. Details to follow.

Sunday 4th August ~ Practical Work Day / Litter Pick. Details to follow.

August/September ~ Bats Walk
We hope to be able to have a repeat of the Bats Walk we held in 2018, if we can find the knowledgeable volunteers to organise it with us.

September ~ Heritage Open Days
These will be held across England from Friday 13th September to Sunday 22nd September in 2019, and we will be joining in at some point over the ten days. We are currently planning to get BloodAxe Vikings and Armée du Nord (and hopefully others) back to the Hillfort during the weekend of Sat/Sun 14th/15th September. We will let you have confirmation of this, and more details, as soon as we have them.

Sunday 29th September ~ Practical Work Day / Litter Pick. Details to follow.

Saturday 12th October ~ Autumn Quiz Night.
Our Quiz Night in April proved very popular and we have been asked to arrange another one. More details nearer the time.
