The parks are buzzing with butterflies, bees, moths, damselflies and stunning Emperor dragonflies. Get out there and enjoy it.

The top of the hill in the Country Park is particularly alive with beautiful dragonflies and busy bees today. Do get out there and enjoy the parks while the sun is shining and we have warm weather.

Anyone who wants an hour or so walk this Sunday afternoon is welcome to join us in a litter pick as we make sure our Park is nice and tidy to impress the usual influx of visitors for Alfie’s Day on Saturday 13th July.

We provide litter grabs and gloves, and also the bags and a High-Viz jacket. Refreshments afterwards in the Drovers Return.

We have added more litter-picking dates to our “Events for 2019” news/events post, so that you can add them to your diaries to make sure you don’t miss any. We will confirm which park and start times nearer the dates, so please keep checking.

Bring a friend or two to keep you company. The more of us there are the more we can do.
