Our Tree Trail is now Live. There will be a guided tour of the trail on Saturday, 30th March, starting at 11 am at the Drovers Return café, but for those who cannot wait, maps and leaflets are available from the Drovers Return now. Don’t forget to install a QR Code reading app onto your mobile phone.
The trail will only take about 30 – 60 minutes and it’s FREE.
With the help of Francesca Service via Northampton Museum, the Friends have identified a number of specially interesting trees around the Country Park and have installed posts with QR code plates which will provide details about each tree when scanned by an appropriate app.
The Trail is based on the Tree Health and Safety Report that we commissioned from Brampton Valley Training in April 2018 as part of our Heritage Lottery Funded project. The Report can be viewed via our website (Tree Trail and Tree H&S Report) and includes a link to an interactive aerial Google-view of the Hill Fort which provides details of specific trees within the survey by clicking on the tree indicators.
